Yuseong Christmas 2026 Plans: December 4–6 at Yurim Park and Wolpyeong Access

Contents

A 2026 schedule exists, but not a complete programme

Yuseong’s Christmas market is planned for December 4–6, 2026, 11:00–21:00, at Yurim Park’s east plaza. Stall recruitment is under way; the full visitor program, including performers, tree design and rides, is still to come.

This guide separates that announcement from the December 5–7, 2025 edition. You can reserve space in a Daejeon itinerary while waiting for the visitor programme, without promising a child that a particular carousel or show will definitely return.

The 2025 edition moved to Yurim Park, with a large Christmas tree, carousel, photo settings, instant photographs, performances and a market. It was a broader seasonal park outing, not simply a single tree to photograph. Those descriptions belong to 2025.

For 2026, the district is recruiting for 30 wooden sales booths and 5 activity booths. Treat those as planned recruitment capacity, not a final list of operating vendors. The notice’s product categories do not guarantee particular brands, stock or workshop prices.

Planning stage What is known What it does not promise
2026 recruitment schedule December 4–6, 11:00–21:00 A final visitor programme without changes
2026 venue Yurim Park east plaza Individual stalls and entrances
2026 recruitment scale 30 sales and 5 activity booths Every booth operating, brands or fees

Walk from Wolpyeong, then locate the east-side event

Yurim Park is at 27 Eoeun-ro, Yuseong-gu, Daejeon: 대전 유성구 어은로27/유림공원. Allow approximately 800 metres from Wolpyeong Station Exit 3. Use Daejeon Subway Line 1, then follow the seasonal signs to the east plaza. Reaching the park boundary is not necessarily the same as reaching the market entrance; see the park location and access

An exit number alone does not promise step-free access. Families with strollers and visitors with limited mobility should check lifts, crossings and the day’s surface conditions. For buses, search 유림공원 in the direction you need; for a taxi, save the park name and 동편광장. Our Korean map-app guide helps you save the return route before the crowd disperses.

An afternoon family visit or an evening lights visit

Families interested in stalls and activities can arrive in the afternoon, establish food and toilet options, and decide whether everyone has energy to stay after dark. For lights photographs, build the visit around dinner instead. The 11:00 opening in the recruitment notice does not promise night-time lighting effects during daylight or continuous performances until 21:00.

If a 2026 carousel is announced, verify its price, queuing procedure and height or guardian restrictions separately. Do not infer operational rules from last year’s photographs. Adults travelling together can alternate between queues and browsing rather than leaving young children exposed to the cold for a single photo.

Make it the main evening stop

Treat Yurim Park as one main evening destination rather than trying to rush between several distant light events. Our Daejeon two-day itinerary can help organize a separate daytime programme and a sensible hotel return. Start with roughly two to three hours for browsing, a walk and a break, then adjust to the program and your group’s pace.

If continuing from Seoul, check the actual train’s stopping pattern and the onward city connection. The KTX booking and luggage guide explains the booking process, but it does not imply every Seoul–Busan service is the right choice for Daejeon.

    Four things to recheck

Revisit the district announcement and the eventual visitor programme for any venue changes, selected stalls, performance and lighting times, and bad-weather arrangements. Keep a usable data connection for navigating home; see the Korea connectivity comparison. Budget separately for food, purchases and optional experiences. Ordinary access to a public park does not make every festival activity free.

    FAQ

Are the 2026 dates completely unannounced?

No. The district recruitment notice gives December 4–6 and the east plaza of Yurim Park. The detailed visitor programme still needs confirmation.

Should I go to the hot-spring street or Yurim Park?

The 2026 recruitment notice identifies Yurim Park’s east plaza. Do not use a different year’s street-light photographs as the current market address.

Is the festival immediately outside Wolpyeong Station?

No. Allow about 800 metres from Exit 3, followed by navigation within the park to the east-side event.
