Aegibong Peace Ecopark is a deliberate excursion with reservations and entry checks, rather than an open city plaza you can visit spontaneously after dinner. Three tree concepts reward different ways of looking
The 2025 installation recreated the 1971 tower-tree form at roughly 4.5 metres, reduced from the original 18 metres. Tree Road illuminated the ecological trail, while an approximately eight-metre media tree displayed wishes submitted by QR code.
The trail follows a gentle zigzag inspired by a Christmas-tree shape, with the media installation in front of the exhibition building. This is more interesting than simply finding the tallest object. Look closely at the tower silhouette, include people and terrain in trail photographs, and allow time to read the changing media display. The three experiences are not alternate names for one tree or a promise that each remains accessible on ordinary evenings.

Daytime crafts and evening performances are different priorities
The 2025 daytime programme included wreath and snow-globe activities, a stilt-walking Santa and a plaster-mime act. Evening performances included aerial-wire action, 뮤지컬 싱어즈, an Aegibong musical gala (애기봉 뮤지컬 갈라쇼) and the Gimpo municipal youth choir. An award-winning patriotic-art exhibition also accompanied the event.
For families, arriving early is useful only if the booking actually covers the activities that matter. When a new Christmas schedule appears, check whether a daytime reservation permits staying for an evening session, whether another booking is required and how workshops are allocated. Do not assume that every craft includes free materials merely because you hold a park ticket. Equally, a performance time from another month is not a reliable guide to Christmas. Getting there requires a final connection beyond Gimpo rail stations

This works best for travellers interested in a landscape-led Christmas outing and willing to plan their entry properly. Photographers should choose an announced seasonal session rather than an ordinary afternoon solely on the strength of old illuminated photographs. Families should choose between workshops and later performance priorities according to their children’s stamina.
Treat Aegibong as the main evening destination instead of squeezing a distant shopping-mall lighting into the same night. Let your reserved session and actual departure arrangements set the pace, leaving time for the entry checks and return journey. If a companion needs regular indoor breaks or a step-free route, clarify the relevant route with the park before committing.
