Separate the complete 2025 edition from next-season details
This guide looks back at Imsil Cheese Theme Park’s Santa Festival on December 25–28, 2025. The trees, performances and workshop prices below belong to that edition. As of October 22, 2026, the next final dates, operating hours and detailed programme were still to come. Dates in an external calendar do not mean workshop registration has opened.
Choose Imsil if you want a half-day family outing combining Christmas scenery, hands-on activities and cheese-related food, rather than only an evening illumination walk. If the main trip follows our Jeonju itinerary, allocate separate travel and activity time. The park is not a small market beside Jeonju Hanok Village.
The ten-metre tree in front of Cheese Castle
The 2025 installation placed a ten-metre Christmas tree in front of Cheese Castle, with reindeer figures and poinsettia decorations nearby. A photograph including the castle, tree and people conveys the setting better than an isolated ornament close-up. These were seasonal arrangements, not guaranteed permanent features.
Take the family photograph before moving to a timed workshop rather than repeatedly waiting for an empty background. Leave entrance routes clear when stopping with a stroller, and follow barriers around displays. Other visitors stepping into an installation do not establish that it is intended for climbing or sitting; the operational boundary comes from staff and signs.
| 2025 activity | Historical price | Important limit |

| Chocolate fondue | 10,000 won per family | Dec 26 and 28; one ingredient set |
| Christmas cake | 30,000 won per family | 60 families daily across three sessions |
| Next season | Verify for winter 2026 | Old forms are not current bookings |
Sledding, Santa events and performances
The 2025 programme combined a Santa parade and costume contest with children’s musical theatre, magic, bubble shows and orchestral performances. Active options included cheese curling, an artificial skating area and snowball-style games. The main sledding setup measured sixty metres with six lanes, alongside a smaller forty-eight-metre, four-lane installation. Different sizes do not establish universal age eligibility: check height, accompaniment and equipment rules.
Lee Bo-ram appeared at the December 25 opening, while LIGHTSUM and 짜이 were announced for December 27. These were dated appearances, not an identical daily lineup across all four days. Select one performance priority before fitting in food and workshops, rather than creating several simultaneous commitments.
Three workshops with very different budgets
For the 2025 family-tree activity, 5,000 won bought one miniature tree and decoration set per family. It accepted one hundred families per day near Ji Jeong-hwan Hall, with specific display and ownership conditions. Do not assume every finished tree was an unrestricted take-home souvenir.
Chocolate fondue cost 10,000 won per family, with one set of ingredients. Sessions on December 26 and 28, 2025 ran from 12:30 to 13:30, each limited to 250 families. That price did not provide a separate full set for every participant.
Christmas cake-making cost 30,000 won per family. The 2025 programme offered daily sessions at 11:00, 13:30 and 15:30, with sixty families accepted per day, in Appenzell Hall on Cheese Castle’s second floor. These expired forms are not next-season applications; do not submit personal information to them as if bookings remain open.
A realistic family budget and booking strategy
The three activities used first-come registration, with on-site participation conditional on advance places remaining unfilled. Entering the park therefore did not guarantee a workshop place. Repeat family participation was restricted, and attendance was tied to a selected date or session. For a future edition, check the registration process, cancellation conditions and what can be taken home before committing.
The 2025 food plan included eleven large catering businesses, food trucks and a snack route around the cheese facilities. Give the family more than one meal option instead of relying on a single stall. Ask about ingredients for any allergy; cheese and chocolate workshops should not be presumed dairy-free. Confirm overall admission and individual attraction charges separately for the next edition.
The railway station is not the park entrance
The park address is 50 Doin 2-gil, Seongsu-myeon, Imsil-gun: 임실군 성수면 도인2길 50. Use 임실치즈테마파크 as the map or taxi destination. Imsil Bus Terminal is at 22 Unsu-ro and Imsil Station at 2932 Chunhyang-ro. Both are arrival points in Imsil, not entrances to the theme park. Park directions and address
Our Seoul–Jeonju transport guide helps with the larger city-to-city leg; check the actual Jeonju–Imsil connection for your date. A taxi can complete the final segment if local buses do not fit a reserved workshop. Allow a return pickup margin too. The 2025 festival expanded to fourteen shuttle vehicles on three routes, but this was an event arrangement, not evidence of a permanent service. New boarding points and last departures need a new notice.
Build the day around a workshop, not only darkness
A workable family sequence is a morning or afternoon activity, food, one stage segment and then the castle-and-tree photograph. Allow half a day plus transport, adjusting it to the activities you choose. With only an hour available, focus on the tree and a short walk instead of expecting sledding, a workshop and an entire musical.
Save the destination using our Korean map-app guide and arrange mobile data before arrival. Anyone needing a step-free route or stroller storage should ask about the actual workshop floor and entrance; exterior park photographs do not establish accessible circulation throughout every building.
FAQ
Must I book a workshop simply to photograph the tree?
They are separate activities. Workshops have their own capacity and charges; verify the edition’s general access rules for the tree area.
Can I register for cake-making on arrival?
In 2025, on-site places depended on unfilled advance capacity. Future rules require a new notice.
Is the park directly outside Imsil Station?
No. Treat the station as a transport arrival point and plan the final connection to the park address.
