Jeju Weihnachten Christmas Museum: Admission, Andeok Access and 2025 Market

Contents

The permanent museum and the market are different visits

Weihnachten Christmas Museum is a year-round attraction in Andeok, while the eighth Christmas market ran November 22–December 25, 2025, from 16:00 to 20:00. Winter 2026 market dates still require a fresh museum announcement. Permanent Christmas decorations do not mean outdoor vendors operate every day of the year.

Visit outside the season if you enjoy decorative objects and a small private collection. For stalls, hot drinks and a festive evening, match your travel dates to the actual seasonal programme. It fits a west Jeju day trip better than a long cross-island detour for one photograph.

    What to look for inside

The owners collected Christmas objects on their travels and arranged them in a building inspired by German architecture. Weihnachten means Christmas in German. The attraction is the variety of ornaments and the way objects build a domestic festive scene, not a large collection of rides or interactive play equipment.

Look at the room as a whole before concentrating on individual pieces. When shopping, distinguish the collection from merchandise; an attractive old object without a price is not an invitation to pick it up. Keep walkways clear while photographing and supervise children around displays. This is a collection space rather than a place to let young children run freely.

The 2025 market: themed shops and local makers

The eighth edition had more than 50 booths involving small businesses, artists and Jeju growers. Santa Store, Vintage Shop and the Time Traveler’s House were among the themed spaces, with wreath and music-box activities, performances, mulled wine and Christmas cookies. These were 2025 features, not a guaranteed programme for the next edition.

See the collection first, then browse the market. Arriving only after dark can be a poor strategy if indoor areas close earlier. In 2024, the market ran from 16:00 to 20:00 and museum hours were extended until 20:00. Those were that year’s arrangements, not a guarantee of extended opening in 2026.

Ordinary hours, admission and access limitations

For general planning, use daily hours of 10:30–18:00 and admission of 1,000 won with a 1,000-won voucher. Parking is free. Voucher validity and eligible purchases follow on-site terms; it is not a promised cash refund. Older free-admission descriptions remain online, so use the latest museum notice and ticket conditions when visiting.

Visitors using wheelchairs or large pushchairs should ask the museum about step-free entry, access between exhibition areas and whether they need to bring their own equipment. Do not assume every part of the building is step-free. Confirming the route in advance is more useful than assuming that an indoor museum is automatically a suitable rainy-day option for everyone. Andeok address and the last mile

Navigate to 바이나흐튼 크리스마스박물관, 654 Pyeonghwa-ro, Andeok-myeon, Seogwipo-si; the land-lot address is Seogwang-ri 456. It is not in central Seogwipo’s walking area. Give a taxi driver the Korean name and full address rather than only saying Christmas market.

Drivers can combine it with western or southwestern Jeju stops. Without a car, settle the taxi or private-driver plan before choosing a late market departure. Our car-free Jeju guide compares those options, while the Jeju rental-car guide covers driving preparation. OSULLOC Tea Museum can fit the same regional day, but the two are separate destinations with a drive between them, not neighboring buildings connected by a short pedestrian route.

How long to allow and what to change in bad weather

Allow roughly 45–75 minutes for the collection and shops, or 1.5–2 hours when browsing a market or joining an activity. Adjust those allowances to your interest in the collection, shopping and activities. In wind or rain, distinguish indoor opening from the operation of individual outdoor stalls and performances.

Pack fragile purchases properly, and consider flight baggage rules before buying liquid souvenirs. Choose accommodation around the whole trip using our Jeju area comparison. A winter afternoon is not the time to add a distant east-coast detour if it compromises your return journey and dinner.

    FAQ

Does it open only at Christmas?

No. The collection is permanent; the market, extended hours and special programmes have separate schedules.

    Is admission definitely free?

Do not rely on old guides. Budget 1,000 won for ordinary admission with a voucher of the same value. Check the museum’s latest terms before traveling.

Can I visit without renting a car?

Yes, using a taxi or private driver, but plan the return first, especially for an evening market. A Seogwipo administrative address does not mean a central-city walking location.
